LEGAL LITERACY CLUB
A legal literacy club is a group that educates students about legal rights and responsibilities, and provides legal services. The goal of these clubs is to: Increase legal literacy, Help students advocate for human rights, and Help students access justice for vulnerable populations.
Legal literacy clubs are run by school teachers and are guided by a teacher-in-charge. Some activities that legal literacy clubs may organize include:
- Painting or cartoon drawing competitions
- Legal awareness discourses
- Awareness lectures on the importance of fundamental duties
- Discussions on trafficking issues
- Sensitizing other students and teachers about the needs of socially and economically backward children
- Debates
- Essay competitions
